WTF -- now your CAT can catch swine flu from their human owners?

It's enough that you have to worry about you and your kids catching swine flu this season. But now you also have to be concerned for … your cat. That's right. Your furry friend can catch it, from you. At least that's the case for a 13-year-old feline in Iowa diagnosed with H1N1 after its two owners both came down with the flu. The cat was treated at a veterinary hospital after appearing lethargic, losing its appetite and having trouble breathing. All three have recovered. Although this is the first documented case, consider it a cautionary tale. While searches on "swine flu symptoms" were up this week almost 400%, lookups on "swine flu in cats" also increased. Thankfully, we only have dogs here. But the minute one of them starts looking crazy sick, it's off to the vet...I don't want to catch swine flu from THEM!

If you want to seriously LYMFAO today, please, please, PLEASE visit The People Of Wal-Mart website. The website reminds me of the Hot Ghetto Mess website, but it's even funnier because these people are actually out in public at their local Wally World exposing their hot ass mess to all and sundry.

I actually avoid going to Wal-Mart whenever I can, even though we have a super Wal-Mart located less than two blocks from our house.

Not only are you treated to the lovely sights highlighted on that website on every visit -- guaranteed -- it is always smelly, crowded with tired, cranky and rambunctious children running through every aisle -- inevitably being chased and yelled at by their even more cranky, tired and upset parents.

And as someone who gets regular medications, please DO NOT get me started on their "pharmacy."

After waiting one night for three hours to get my prescription filled, I was through -- too through.

What if the medication I needed was for a very serious or life-threatening condition? Three hours -- inexcusable.

The quality of the food available in the grocery section is questionable, and the "convenience" of running down the street for something quick is NOT worth it.

I don't care if gas goes up to $5.00 a gallon, I will STILL go the extra five or so miles it takes for me to get to the Fresh and Easy Neighborhood Market, Fry's, Target, CVS, Walgreens -- ANYWHERE other than the hot mess that is Wal-Mart.

So sorry that this has degenerated into a straight rant, but sometimes a girl just HAS to get it out. Please go and enjoy the foolywang experience of the website. And stay away from Wal-Mart.
